Israeli forces kidnap Palestinian kid in Al-Khalil

Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation forces kidnapped on Saturday morning a Palestinian kid near Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil.

The Palestinian child Atef al-Gazzaz, 13, was kidnapped while trying to pass through one of the Israeli military checkpoints scattered across the occupied Palestinian city.

Eyewitnesses told Days of Palestine that an Israeli soldier, was standing near the gate of the checkpoint, “violently dragged the boy” and started “shouting at him.”

According to the eyewitness, who did not hear what the shouts of the Israeli soldier were, two other Israeli soldiers “immediately appeared and started beating the Palestinian kid.”

“The boy attempted to free himself from the Israeli soldiers,” the eyewitness said, “but he could not due to the violent assault of the Israeli soldiers.”

Israeli army spokesperson claimed that the Palestinian kid was found carrying a knife and he might have planned to stab an Israeli soldier.

Commenting on these remarks, the eyewitness told Days of Palestine that “the Israeli claims are completely false because tens of other passersby saw him when he was beaten and kidnapped and, not only me, but all the others were able to clearly see that he did not have a knife.”

He also added: “How can a 13-year old stab Israeli soldiers, who are always heavily equipped with automatic rifles and hand grenades, as well as they are always in groups.”

It has been common since the start of the current Intifada in October 2015 that the Israeli occupation forces murder and execute Palestinians, including little children, claiming they attempted to stab Israeli soldiers.

In order to justify their murders and prove that their accounts are true, the Israeli soldiers have been seen planting knives near the Palestinian victims several times.
