Moshe Silman poured gasoline on his body on Saturday night in Tel Aviv and set himself on fire to protest the Israeli regime’s economic policies.
He is fighting for his life at the hospital, having suffered extensive burns.
The demonstrators have vowed to continue their protest until they achieve their goals.
On Saturday, more than 10,000 people took to the streets in several locations across the Occupied Territories to mark the first anniversary of the social justice protests that swept the territories last year.
They called for the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Hundreds of thousands of people marched and set up protest camps across the Occupied Territories during last summer’s protests.
