Japanese festival to stage Iranian play

Stage director Ahmad Soleimani and his troupe will present the play in the eighth edition of Japanese annual theater festival on July 28 and 29.

The play, which is written by Mohammad Reza Kouhestani, features a blending of comedy and tragedy.

The 2012 Kijimuna Festa will open on July 28 and is scheduled to run until August 5, dedicating great attention to the mission of world peace.

The festival will stage 56 plays from different countries including Canada, China, France, Denmark, Italy, Spain and Russia.

Several workshops, seminars and symposiums on different issues including the role of theater for children and young people in peace building, disabilities and art, and crisis and art will be held on the sidelines of the festival.
