Awake Goy US JEWISH neocons sabotage initiatives not in Israel’s favor: Journalist
The new US sanctions imposed against Iran over its ballistic missile program is a scheme by Zionist neoconservatives in the Obama administration to protect Israel’s interests, an investigative journalist in Washington says.
Jewish neocons in the US cabinet “use their position to try to sabotage initiatives that are not in Israel’s favor,” said Wayne Madsen, an author and columnist specializing in intelligence and international affairs.
In recent years, the US Treasury Department, which is responsible for enforcing economic sanctions against nations, has been infiltrated by pro-Israel neoconservatives, Madsen said during a phone interview with Press TV on Monday.
Jacob Lew, the US Secretary of the Treasury since 2013, is an orthodox Jewish Zionist. Adam Szubin, the current acting undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence in the Treasury is also Jewish, as well as David S. Cohen, who preceded him.
“The neocons will always find a way to upset the applecart, and they’ve done it through Adam Szubin,” Madsen said.
“That position of undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence has always been in the hands of some Zionist neocon going back to Szubin’s predecessor Cohen,” he added. “They’ve always had that job just like they seem to own certain positions in the cabinet, at least at the secondary level.”
On Sunday, the US Department of the Treasury said it had imposed new sanctions on Iran for its ballistic missile program. It made the announcement only a day after sanctions targeting Iran’s nuclear energy program were lifted.
“Iran’s ballistic missile program poses a significant threat to regional and global security, and it will continue to be subject to international sanctions,” said Szubin.
On October 11, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) successfully test-fired its first guided ballistic missile dubbed Emad.
Washington slammed the test, claiming the projectile is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. It vowed to respond with more sanctions.
