FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda NEW YORK (AP) — One of the Internet’s first photo-sharing sites has closed.
Eastman Kodak Co. shut its Kodak Gallery service as scheduled on Monday. Kodak filed for bankruptcy protection in January and sold much of the photo-sharing business to Shutterfly for $23.8 million as Kodak tries to generate cash and narrow its focus.
The two companies offer similar services, in which basic sharing of photos is free, and users pay for prints, photo books, digital copies on DVDs and other products. The services still make money, but demand has declined in recent years as people increasingly share photos online through Facebook and other social networks.
Kodak has transferred photos from North American accounts to Shutterfly Inc., but those images might not be available on Shutterfly accounts for months because of the tasks involved. Also, European accounts won’t be transferred, so those photos will disappear after July 23.
Kodak Gallery was previously known as Ofoto. It was started in 1999, and Kodak bought it in 2001.
