Man drowns on NSW mid-north coast

A man has drowned on a beach on the NSW mid-north coast.

The man got into trouble while swimming at Horseshoe Bay at South West Rocks around mid-afternoon on Saturday.

He was brought to shore but was unable to be revived, a spokesman for NSW Police said.

The age and identification of the man are not yet known by police.

NSW Police said later the man was aged 32.

He was pulled from the ocean by a surf lifesaver on a jet-ski but couldn’t be revived by NSW Ambulance Paramedics on shore.

Police from the mid-north coast Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the incident and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
