UPDATE 9.30pm: A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after he was shot following an argument at a suburban car wash.
The Santiago police taskforce – investigating shootings by Lebanese crime families – is investigating the shooting and confirmed one of the men involved was known to it.
The man, who is in his 30s, was shot in the leg soon after witnesses saw him arguing with another man at the Clean Bay car wash in Camp Rd, Broadmeadows, about 2.20pm.
Police said the shot man, who is believed to be of Middle Eastern appearance, suffered a wound to his leg and was bleeding heavily from his lower body.
The man was rushed into surgery at Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
The victim is in a critical condition.
