A man’s body has been found in a house fire in Melbourne’s northeast.
Emergency services were called to the fire at the second-storey unit on Glenlyon Rd in Fitzroy North about 11am (AEST) on Saturday.
Firefighters searched the unit and found the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 40s, on the floor of the lounge room.
The fire was quickly brought under control but the lounge room was severely damaged.
The cause of the fire is unknown and fire investigators are on scene.
