He said the average McDonald’s customer eats there three times a month and
questioned what was happening “with the other 87 meals.”
The chef added: “I feel that if we were to close our doors of all of the
McDonald’s tomorrow, the obesity problem would not go away.”
Mr Coudreaut, who is known within McDonald’s as “Chef Dan,” eats a Big Mac a
week himself.
He listed improvements the fast food chain has made including apple slices
with Happy Meals, smaller portions of french fries, and cooking fries in
canola oil instead of beef tallow.
“Are we perfect? Absolutely not. Are we getting better? Every day,” he said.
