Adrenaline junkie Mich Kemeter has stepped back into the Guinness Book of Records by completing a 222m nerve-shredding tightrope walk without a harness above icy cold alpine waters.

The successful attempt took place at Gruner See alpine lake in the Austrian mountains and was a belated birthday present for the Kemeter who turned 24 just five days earlier.

While most people are happy blowing
out a few candles for Austrian Kemeter nothing but recapturing the World Record he lost on June 2 would do and he is now once again the proud owner of the title of ‘person who has walked the maximum distance on a tightrope above freezing vast bodies of water.’

As these breathtaking pictures show Mich had a few wobbles along the way and even fell in on one occasion.

Kemeter is no stranger to extreme challenges having previously completed a similar feat in Yosemite National Park.

On that occasion he crossed a 25metre-long wire, which was just one-inch wide, three times.

The stunt was part of the dangerous craze of high-lining – tightrope walking at some of the world’s most terrifying locations.

He also completed a high stakes high-lining stunt high 200ft above the streets of Monaco.
