The Israeli security services fear that a repetition of the massacre that occurred at the Munich Olympics in 1972 will occur at the Olympics in London.
After the terrorist attack in Bourgas Bulgaria Mossad agents were activated to identify and prevent possible threats to the athletes of the Jewish state.
In 1972, terrorists from the Palestinian group “Black September” took nine members of the Israeli team hostage.
During the rescue operations they killed all team members and one German police officer and another two athletes were killed earlier.
Representatives of Mossad believe that this time the danger may come from the Lebanese group Hezbollah.
