And we ask how do you hold parliamentarians accountable for maternal health? Follow us join the conversation on Facebook or on Twitter @WRAglobal, #WRAvoices.

About the WRA Citizen’s Voice web blogs

March 31 to April 5, 2012, the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood (WRA) is producing a 5-minute video blog daily from our studio at the 126th IPU Assembly in Kampala (Uganda).

We are interviewing key figures in attendance, raising the voice of citizens and supporters; connecting delegates at the IPU with media in their country and globally via a short video blog highlighting the day’s events.

The WRA is at the IPU to promote the fact that access to health is a basic right and to discuss the role of parliamentarians in addressing key challenges to securing the health of women and children.

Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in our IPU video blogs are the opinions of individuals and not necessarily the opinion of the White Ribbon Alliance. The WRA is not an independent news outlet, we are a global movement for safe motherhood.
