LOIS ROMANO
POLITICO
Sunday, June 10, 2012

On the sixth floor of a sleek office building here, more than 150 techies are quietly peeling back the layers of your life. They know what you read and where you shop, what kind of work you do and who you count as friends. They also know who your mother voted for in the last election.

The depth and breadth of the Obama campaign’s 2012 digital operation — from data mining to online organizing — reaches so far beyond anything politics has ever seen, experts maintain, that it could impact the outcome of a close presidential election. It makes the president’s much-heralded 2008 social media juggernaut — which raised half billion dollars and revolutionized politics — look like cavemen with stone tablets.

Mitt Romney indeed is ramping up his digital effort after a debilitating primary and, for sure, the notion that Democrats have a monopoly on cutting edge technology no longer holds water.
But it’s also not at all clear that Romney can come close to achieving the same level of technological sophistication and reach as his opponent. (The campaign was mercilessly ridiculed last month when it rolled out a new App misspelling America.)

  1. No, I think the cronies working for Romney will be peeling back the layers of information with the use of Lead and Money as time goes on. That election war chest is drawing interest, it’s going to get uglier as it grows too.

They’ve been doing that for two years already, so don’t get paranoid. I get the same thing, it’s just businesses selectively targeting their advertising.

  3. well,

they can “peel back” as many layers as they wish.

They will find that I have been a good little wage-slave right up until their working conditions gave me cancer and I was then a good little mediclly dependant big pharma slave that sucked me dry of everything of value that i had faster than a starving vampire at a slumber party!

So now I am a non-entity on the short list for a medicade death-panel that haz already told me I cost too much and fights me on EVERY single medical expense I encur right up to and including taking away all my benefits atomaticlly at the 5 year mark because they “feel” I am able to return to fulltime manual labor with ZERO testing to back-up their “claim”.

I on the other hand have 6 years of medical proof of declining health, mobility, and abilties in everything i do on a daily basis but now must PROVE it to be so in a court of law, or else they will then come after me for OVERPAYMENTS and probably chop me up to harvest whatever organs they have not destroyed yet with their poison, er, I mean, “medications”.

FUCK THEM ALL AND BRING ON THE REVOLUTION BECAUSE I GOT A TARGET LIST THAT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED, SOONEST!

  4. heil Mein Fuhrer
he’s collecting information anybody he dislikes gets put on the “list”

    Barack Hitler Obama …

  5. EXCEPT FOR MY OPINION.

MAYBE THERE’S A SECRET PLAN IN THE WORKS.?

  6. That list must be getting pretty long. I don’t even know anyone that supports Obama (or Romney).

The best thing to is not vote. Gerald Celente said that if less than 40% of the population shows up to the polls there will be a chance to void the election.

Obama or Romney?! Come on, can it possibly be any worse!

How do you like your shit? Deep fried or baked?

    What a joke.

  7. “that it could impact the outcome of a close presidential election” Um when the “F” isn’t it a close election. If your going to rig the vote then you can never have a landslide victory or the people might wise up (as if we are any threat to the agenda anyways). If not one person voted it would still have an outcome of 51 to 49.

  8. I can see voting for state issues that might still be somewhat only slightly compromised but vote for the president?
And my choices are puppet a or puppet b,,, not to mention its rigged anyway???

Forget about it. Voting, like they say is just an illusion of free choice.

UNLESS YOU ARE A DELIGATE, THAT’S TRUE.

  9. WE NEED TO CONCENTRATE ON RETAKEING THE STATES, AND JUST IGNORE THE FED AND PUT TAXES INTO A SPECIAL FROZEN ACCOUNT AND WE DEBATE THIS INCOME TAX FRAUD THING.
