Outmywindow wants you to be able to photograph what’s happening in your life, right out your window, without everyone else looking in. The app has designed a way to easily navigate the complicated world of privacy settings — instead of fearing photos of your family are visible to the world, you’ll feel much more in control of who is seeing what.
Launched by Warner Brothers Technical Operations, outmywindow is built with a one-click permission tool so you choose exactly which “friends” in your list your albums are visible to. The outside world won’t get to peek into your “window,” making it perfect for families or parents sharing baby photos and other events.
“While outmywindow allows consumers to access their existing lists of friends and family from a variety of social networks, they no longer have to worry about the complexities of privacy settings or inadvertently broadcasting a photo to people they don’t know,” says Darcy Antonellis, Chief Technology Officer and President of Warner Bros. Technical Operations.
The app also somewhat mimics Facebook’s Timeline, by generating a photo timeline using the date the photo was taken and displaying them in a mosaic for your screen (almost like a personal, aggregated scrapbook). It even takes into consideration that people have most likely shared photos using other sites in the past and allows the user to import old photos which will be integrated into your timeline as well.

The app is free and available for download on all Apple iOS products or Google TV.
