BRUSSELS: Nato chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen said Sunday he had written to Pakistan premier Yousuf Raza Gilani to express regret over the “tragic, unintended” deaths of 24 Pakistani soldiers in an airstrike.

“I have written to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to make it clear that the deaths of Pakistani personnel are as unacceptable and deplorable as the deaths of Afghan and international personnel,” he said in a statement. “This was a tragic unintended incident.”

“I offer my deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the Pakistani officers and soldiers who lost their lives or were injured, and to the government and people of Pakistan, following the regrettable incident along the Afghan-Pakistani border,” Rasmussen added.

Pakistan says two border posts were fired upon “unprovoked” in the early hours of Saturday in Pakistan’s tribal Mohmand district.

  1. REMEMBER THE DAYS WITHOUT A ROGUE MILITARY FORCE ATTACKING SOVERIGN NATIONS AND KILLING PEOPLE.

USED TO BE WRONG TO DO THAT.

  2. There will be TIT-for TAT situation for while…. high diplomatic contacts … the temperature will cool down …..though..A prolonged closure of Pakistan’s two Afghan border crossings to NATO supplies could cause serious problems for the coalition. The U.S., the largest member of the NATO force in Afghanistan, ships more than 55% of its nonlethal supplies through Pakistan. the Shamsi airbase has to be evacuated by American , the local authorities need the base for goats camel some Hydrogen nuclear bomb can be stored there…lol…The coalition has alternative routes through central Asia into northern Afghanistan, but they are costlier and less efficient….the biggest problem here is…The deaths of the Pakistani soldiers will pour fuel on the already raging anti-American sentiment in this key U.S. ally. Although there have been previous deaths of Pakistani troops caused by mistaken fire ( which is in fact never a mistake ) from coalition aircraft, the scale of the bloodshed this time was far greater….plus the American Nato soldiers..will be without ICE CREAM..which is bad for nato American soldiers MORAL…..lol no toilet paper will be available …but they can always use New York times Washington post to wipe their asses ..lol they have been getting for the last 9 years ….on a regular basis …Nato supply rout Employ’s more or less 12,000 Pakistani’s….
    Thanks
    Best Wishes

So the NY Times and WaPo do provide some real value after all? But this substitute toilet paper already carries a stench about it. Wouldn’t that be like using toilet paper twice? Personally I’d prefer sticks and leaves.

  3. “Sorry we killed you, but we must keep-up appearences that terrorist were responsible for 911. So brace-up……there’s more to come”. U.S. Dept of Terrorist Opportunities for Make Believe. (TOMB).

  4. How often do Mossad or British Intelligence take over HARP for rogue purposes. Something tells me rogue agents can walk right in and sit right down and take over these control centers. Same kind of shit happened during 9/11. Same kind of shit happen during the Kennedy assassination. The system is set-up so when the rogue agents need to take over command and control, the system is already set-up to do so. It all seems very spooky.

  5. Well, when your chicken shit to fight on the ground, mistakes will happen !
