Palestinian driver killed by direct Israeli fire

Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation force shot dead on Thursday afternoon Palestinian motorist at Israeli military checkpoint in West Bank city of Nablus.

Palestinian sources identified the Palestinian man as Hassan Bazzour, 22 from the town of Arraba east of Jenin.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire at the Palestinian man as soon as he approached the Israeli military checkpoint of Huwwarah.

“It looked as the man was directly hit as the car immediately collided towards a car park,” the eyewitness said. “A Palestinian ambulance came to the area, but the Israeli forces prevented the evacuation of the wounded Palestinian.”

Later on, an Israeli army spokesperson announced that the Israeli soldiers at Huwwarah Checkpoint killed a Palestinian motorist, who attempted to run over them.

The Israeli army spokesperson announced an Israeli soldier was wounded in the accident and was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, Israeli media reported.
