POLICE have released this picture of a suspect in the attempted assassination of a Russian billionaire.
Tycoon and banker German Gorbunstov, 45, was shot six times in the stomach and face outside his Docklands apartment in East London in March.
He remains in a stable condition in hospital.
This CCTV image shows one of two suspects walking through Canary Wharf Tube station. The would-be assassin’s gun, a Soviet military Makarov 9mm pistol, was dumped nearby along with a hoodie.
Gorbunstov says he will be left disabled after suffering “serious internal damage”. Police have made no arrests so far and say they “retain an open mind regarding a motive”.
