Awake Goy Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi prov, Dec 10, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani arrived in the city of Mashhad in northeast of the country on Thursday to pay pilgrimage to the holy shrine of the 8th Shiite Imam Reza (AS).
His trip to the city coincides with the demise anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam Muhammad on Thursday which is to be followed by the demise anniversary of Imam Reza on Saturday.
President Rouhani is to review construction, economic and cultural issues with the provincial officials and also to take part in the meeting of the province’s highest administrative council.
A number of his cabinet members are accompanying the President in the trip.
