It might help to learn that we and the UN were currently trying to stop a civil war in Afghanistan before 911 happened. We had frozen their assets and were stopping flights, and applying sanctions, this was a problem to one of the most impoverished countries on the planet. There were only three countries who recognized the Taliban as the leader of Afghanistan and the US was not one of them. Even before 911 we were asking for Bin Laden, but we never provided proof that he had anything to do with the bombing of a couple of embassies. There was a proposed pipeline through Afghanistan but because of the fighting UNOCAL pulled out.

I worked at a steel mill for a couple of years and part of my job everyday was to take temperature checks, the melted steel was 2300 degrees. so how does a steel structure come down, and didn’t those buildings have sprinkler systems. As I was sitting, having a cold beer joking with some friends I feel a sharp poke in the middle of my back. I turn to find a rather large young man glowering at me. He says “343″. I didn’t know what that was supposed to mean so I asked him for a clue. “That is how many firefighters died in the World Trade Center.” Now that I get to what he is referring, I say back 2595. It is his turn for an unknowing look. I tell him that was the last number I researched on the total of humanity lost in the twin towers. His face starts to get red and he informs me he is a firefighter and that he despises me for wearing that “fu#$^* shirt! I tell him that I’m sorry he feels that way. He then told me that my shirt was belittling the deaths of his brothers. Again, I told him I was sorry he felt that way, but I did not back down. I told him that I was angry that he would come over to someone and throw vile words around without researching the allegations he was spewing. Furthermore; I went into the case for building 7s miraculous implosion, and started to enumerate all of the falsehoods I could remember with a slightly intoxicated brain. I end with telling him to WAKE UP and quit allowing himself to be lead around by the nose. He walked away. Later, at closing time I went to my car and found him snogging one of the available, less reputable ladies that frequent the establishment. Their public display makes me laugh and I jokingly tell them to get a room. He notices it’s me and stops what he is doing to yell some silly crap at me about being a rabble rouser and to quit destroying the memory of good, decent folk. Trying to remain on the highroad I tell him that it is because of their memory that I feel it is my obligation to investigate the truth. It all ends up with him threatening to break my car windows if I didn’t leave now. I left. I couldn’t see the point in trying to help him break his programming. All in all, it was a good night. I made alot of people think, some for maybe the first time in their lives. I wonder how tonight will go.

Just get out there and spread the word brothers and sisters! A few bumps and bruises now is a hell of a lot more preferable than the bullets that will most certainly come later!
