The Sol Food Mobile Farm is a concept similar to that of the Compass Green project that will be traveling the country holding gardening workshops and visiting urban farming projects across the country. Like the Compass Green Project, they’ll be holding workshops and seminars on topics like food production and composting. The retrofitted school bus also collects rain water, composts, and runs on waste vegetable oil.

A couple of the things that set the Sol Food Mobile Farm apart are the tiny house-like living space and the living green roof on the bus.

The four young gardeners behind the Sol Food Mobile Farm are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise money so that they are able finish retrofitting the bus, and can offer free gardening workshops across the country. So far they’ve made a decent dent in their fundraising goal and if you’d like to see the Sol Food Mobile Farm visit a city near you visit their Kickstarter page and make a pledge.
