We forget as we appear to promote abortion, the murder of life, as something not only normal, but as a health option.
We forget as Palestinians are slaughtered in their own homeland.

I like the symmetry of 11:11. I use it as my birthdate for social media platforms to reduce relinquishing accurate personal information. Every year I receive birthday messages despite posting a headline, ‘It’s not my birthday’.

Thursday 31 October 2019, I hosted a Trick Or Treaty Brexit BBQ at my village hall, incorporating a phrase from the Turkish war of independence:

I displayed artworks including Turkish related imagery and the Turkish Defense & Army Attaché from the London Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, attended at the bequest of Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces, Chief of Staff, General Yaşar Güler. He arrived very early; 4pm for a 7pm start. We both stood by the WWI 1914-1918 memorial. The attaché, Colonel Aşcı, lost family members at the battles of Çanakkale and Gallipoli. As we stood, just the two of us, he recalled words Atatürk said of the fallen during battle:

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives… You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours… You, the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.

I feel no inclination nor any obligation to be anywhere near those gathering for Remembrance Day. I hold the 7 names on our village memorial privately, where ever I go, not just on 11:11, but 365 days of the year.

England. Get off your knees, for goodness sake. Remember? Oh, I remember, to never, never, never again be sucked in by these gross anomalies to human life who pretend to represent us as they lead us from pandemic to war to climate emergency to war to the next drama founded upon lies, deception and fear.
