Rhode Island gas prices fall by 3 cents

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The cost of gas in Rhode Island has fallen for a 10th consecutive week.

AAA Southern New England said Monday the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.51, down three cents from the previous week.

The group says prices at the pump are down 46 cents since peaking in mid-April.

The current price locally is 10 cents above the national average of $3.41 a gallon.

Rhode Islanders were paying an average of $3.73 a year ago this week.
