Scientific Study Confirms Ron Paul Being Given LEAST Face Time In Debates

Even less than Santorum, Huntsman, Gingrich

Despite being consistently ranked in the top three in GOP presidential candidate preference polls, Ron Paul has been given the least time to speak OUT OF ALL THE CANDIDATES at the debates that have taken place thus far.

Confirmation of this fact comes in the form of a study from the University of Minnesota, published to the Smart Politics blog.

The study has tallied the total face time that candidates were afforded during the last three debates. The results speak for themselves.

TPM took these numbers and displayed them visually below:

Ron Paul has received just 18 minutes and 47 seconds of time, less than any other candidate, and less than half the time that Mitt Romney has been allowed.

Indeed, Romney has racked up a total of 41 minutes and 9 seconds of speaking time over the debates, close to seven minutes more than the next closest candidate, Rick Perry who has received 34 minutes, 12 seconds.

The Study notes that during Tuesday’s debate, Romney received a full quarter of the speaking time, meaning he had almost double the time of all the other candidates and approaching three times the amount Ron Paul was given.

Despite being placed third in a Harvard University Institute of Politics and New Hampshire Institute of Politics poll prior to the Washington Post/Bloomberg debate, Ron Paul received just 26 and 21 seconds more speaking time than Jon Huntsman and Rick Santorum respectively.

Even when he is not speaking, it seems Romney is the focus of the attention, on Tuesday Romney was afforded:

· 194 percent more camera time than Rick Santorum
· 190 percent more than Jon Huntsman
· 171 percent more than Ron Paul
· 157 percent more than Newt Gingrich
· 103 percent more than Michele Bachmann
· 100 percent more than Herman Cain
· 77 percent more than Rick Perry

The gross inequality displayed here will only serve to confirm assertions that the mainstream media is engaged in a conspiracy to sideline, ignore and discredit Paul’s campaign.

Even the authors of the study at the University of Minnesota question the amount of time Paul is getting. They note:

“The fact that Congressman Paul has received less than half the amount of speaking time as Romney (and less than any other candidate) is curious considering the libertarian firebrand has run third or fourth in most polls throughout the last several months.”

The establishment denigrates Paul’s campaign not because they think he can’t win, but because they’re scared he could win. That’s why they’ve made it their job to try and derail his momentum at every turn. It’s their job to manipulate the American public into thinking they’re wasting their vote if they support Paul because he has no chance of winning, when the opposite is true, he has every chance of winning, if only he was given an equal platform with the other candidates.

The Paul campaign today released another ad, this time titled simply “Life”. In a moving and personal account, Dr Paul Explains why he opposes abortion, and recounts an experience of watching an abortion firsthand.

The spot will air next week in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

  1. IF THE SCUMBAG MEDIA WON’T GIVE RON PAUL EQUAL TIME DURING THE DEBATES THEN IT’S UP TO THE PEOPLE TO MAKE SURE HE GETS THE VOTES!!!!! RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2012!!
    PLEASE HELP SAVE AMERICA!

  2. I HOPE PAUL DRAWS ALOT MORE CONSERVATIVES AND ODUMBO GETS REELECTED AND SO WE HAVE THE CURRENT STALEMATE FOR FOUR MORE YEARS IM ALREADY ON THE VERGE OF COMPLETE DESTITUTION FOOD STAMPS WHAT THE HELL HAVE I GOT IN THIS GAME NOW

  3. WHOEVER IS IN POWER HAS THE CONTROL OF THE NETWORKS END OF STORY,
THE CONSERVATIVES HAVE LITTLE POSITIVE INFLUENCE INSPITE OF THIS FACT BECAUSE OF THE LEFT LEANING AGENDA OF THE MEDIA IM SICK OF HEARING AND WRITING ABOUT IT.
THE REAL QUESTION IS WHAT THE FOCUS STUDIES SAY ABOUT THE % OF DEMOCRATIC VOTES RON PAUL WOULD GET IN A DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY AGAINST ODUMBO?
AND THEN AGAIN CAN HE PULL IN A NATIONAL ELECTION, MORE ODUMBO LIBERALS ON HIS SOCIAL ISSUES OR MORE RIGHT WING TEA PARTY PEOPLE FROM THE MORE MODERATE END CANDIDATE??????? THIS DRAW FROM A 3RD PARTY RON PAUL JESSE VENTURA AS A RESULT OF A QUICK ROMNEY VICTORY BY MARCH, THUS DEVALUING ALL RON PAULS DELEGATES TO ZERO,
SO HE HAS TO MOVE ON AND GO IT ON HIS OWN AS THE LIBERTARIAN CANDIDATE.
IN THE REGULAR JOES MIND IT WILL BE ODUMBO OR ONE OF THE ROMNY CAIN PERRY THREE
AND AT 45% APPROVAL OBAMA CANT WIN SO pAUL CAN UPSET THE MESS BY EITHER HURTING OR HELPING THE REPUBLICRAT ITS STILL UP IN THE AIR

  4. What about Gary Johnson? He was one of the first candidates to enter the race and when he was asked, stated that he would pick Ron Paul as his Vice President. He’s been excluded from the past 3 debates but he’s still a candidate. So Infowars, the next time you want to cry foul play concerning Ron Paul, you should at least MENTION the only other candidate with a libertarian platform. Hell it even helps your argument that the media would rather ignore libertarians than give them face time, but instead you’re falling victim to your own criticism and highlighting your blatant preference of Ron Paul over anyone else. Way to be unbiased.

  5. this is something we all know already
Hey MSM- IT IS NOT WORKING
    RON PAUL 2012!
    END THE FED
    END THE FRAUD
    END THE WARS

  6. Am I wrong to think that the establishment fears Ron Paul? Would they be so fearful if he WASN’T capable of stopping or at least slowing their agenda?

Well, all I can say is that it’s about time we got someone who won’t use the Constitution as toilet paper.

Hey Alex, if it’s not too much to ask, could you keep the users posted on Paul’s rallies?

    • of course they fear him. If Ron Paul was a crazy idiot, they’d actually give him MORE time because it’d actually hurt him in the long run. But because RP is the only non-puppet candidate and is promoting freedom, liberty, returning to the constitution, ending the Fed, ending fruad, ending wars etc. the corporate media is terrified that his ideas will further spread in the minds of the American populace.

  7. I noticed this and commented on it. On the You Tube “Mox News” replay on I watched the whole thing and pointed out where each candidate started their answer by putting a link to the time they started and I also put how many questions they were asked. The rules were typical One question and a certain amount of time to answer. But Charlie Rose would continually ask follow up questions to each of Romney’s answers. Once it was up to five questions in a row at which time he ended the conversation saying how much he liked the conversation he was having with Romney. I think he once said “Fascinating”. Completely lost any respect I ever had for Charlie Rose. He should receive some emails from us. I also heard ppl say that they didn’t realize Ron Paul was at the debate because all the camera angles excluded him in the Wide shots etc. Anyways I want to make sure you all know to go to BLACKTHISOUT dot COM there is a money bomb on OCT 19th. Black this out has some awesome new video’s so go check it out. BLACKTHISOUT

    • i know, it’s soo obvious and SICKENING how they’re purposely doing this. Ron Paul should bring this up in the next debate, and say some thing like “well i’d better answer quickly since i’m usually asked only 2 questions during debates, and thus far MR has been asked 8 questions and 5 follow-up questions…..”

  8. They are doing everything possible to destroy this campaign.
the dude on yahoo news did everything possible to not mention Ron Paul,
“Cain is surprisingly appearing to be the top candidate”
BULL,they just mention their pick for the GOP, PRESIDENT ROMNEYCAINOPERRY.
and how they are doing everything they can to NOT mention Ron Paul

    Solution?
    VOTE CONSTITUTION PARTY TICKET,
    screw the demon-publicans

  9. Just more proof that Ron Paul is indeed legitimate.

    • Tell Alex the “alcoholic, pot heads” founded this…what once was a Constitutional Republic. Tell Alex to stop his demonetization of the most brilliant and peaceful, percentage wise, section of the “American” population. Tell Alex God is still on his side….for now, though Karma is a powerful deity.

  10. We the People WILL NOT BE IGNORED!!!

    Ron Paul 2012

  11. That might be a good thing.

  12. He is given the least amount of face time because it is all part of a ploy. Look he’s a good man as far as I can tell but it’s all scripted people. The handlers of the government are applying a litmus test to the public with this ruse.

    • A litmus test disguised as censorship?
