Speaking Saturday night at an event sponsored by the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky expressed surprise that President Barack Obama would say that his support for same-sex marriage was rooted in the Bible.
“What version of the Bible is he reading?” Paul said.
““The president recently weighed in on marriage,” Paul told the crowd at the Point of Grace Church in Waukee, Iowa. “And, you know, he said his views were evolving on marriage. Call me cynical but I wasn’t sure that his views on marriage could get any gayer. Now it did kind of bother me, though, that he used the justification for it in a biblical reference. He said the biblical Golden Rule caused him to be for gay marriage.
“And I’m like: What version of the Bible is he reading?” said Paul. “It’s not the King James version. It’s not the New American Standard. It’s not the New Revised version. I don’t know what version he is getting it from.
“Now that doesn’t mean we have to be harsh and mean and hate people,” said Paul. “We understand sin and if we believe it’s sin we still understand that people sin. And we understand that we are not out there preaching some sort of hateful dogma against people. But that doesn’t mean that we have to go ahead and give up our traditions. We’ve got 6,000 years of tradition. There’s a lot of stability, even beyond religion, there’s stability in the family unit. Just from an anthropological point of view, the family is really important thing. We shouldn’t just give up on it.”

Christianity, the teachings of Jesus Christ, are captured in the New Testament. Jesus preached love and tolerance.
Nowhere, NOWHERE at all, does he indicate hatred for gays.

You’re in error.Actually He DOES mention several times just HOW abominable homosexuality is, and I quote:

So yes He DOES say and warn repeatedly about the unnatural crime/sin of Homosexuality. And what was His ultimate judgement on entire cities given over to such perversion?
Genesis 19:24-25 – Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah —from the Lord out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.

The implication of your post is if someone doesn’t support or is in hearty agreement with the desires or behaviours of another, no matter how unclean or immoral, they hate that person or group. If I wish to do things with my sexual organs and have those activities approved by you and worshipped by you, and you refuse , it’s because you are hateful mean and cruel. And I will attack you. I will say I have a right. Your rights mean nothing. I will shove it in your face every opportunity I get. I will be shrill. I will be loud. Because I want what I want and it trumps anything in your life, I will MAKE you support my wants and desires. There is a spirit behind you, unclean and driving. Lying, deceptive and destructive. It taints everything you say and do. Uses you to influence and control those around you and as many as it can reach. The govenment was originally DIVIDED from religion. STATE-CHURCH…
The Goverment only needs to create an neutral position on EVERYTHING.

Be fruitful, multiply and replenish the Earth. The word tells us many of the people suffering from homosexual desires are oppressed by an unclean spirit. And by the way, they are not the reason God has cursed America. They ARE the curse of God on America. If you don’t believe it, look at the damage they are doing to the very fabric of our society in trying to force their desires upon the rest of us. Go to Romans and you will find the progression of the curse. Beginning from when men suppress the truth to the sexual revolution, gays coming out of the closet, women becomming lesbians, to the final stage, reprobate minds, or minds that don’t function properly. If you wonder why you can’t reach some people, that you give them a piece of information and they want to argue that the sky is blue which is totally off subject and out in left field and what the heck does that have to do with what I’m trying to tell this person that’s where this is coming from. You will see this from those who are described as Liberals, look at where they like to post and read them. Logic and reason are not what their mental processes are founded upon. You read the story, extract the relavent facts, and find the posts appear to be written upon a different subject, reaching outlandish conclusions, rightious in their ignorance.
Our nation’s leader has in essense blasphemed God by implying the Bible supports his advocating so called “gay” marraige. He has openly endorsed a lifestyle and activity that is an abomination to a holy God and whose practictioners will be judged in the eternal life, as will those who endorse evil and call it good, elevate it, place it on an altar and worship it as something good. In the meantime we as a people will corporately reap the earthly judgements because of this. The nation continues to go to hell in a handbasket.
Do I see even one hand raised in shock that Obama has finally come out of the closet and said he now thinks “gay” marraige is fine and dandy and somehow a right? He only kept his mouth shut in the last election so he could get the Catholic bloc and some other cafeteria “progressive” Christians. His so called evolutions timing has everything to do with gaining big money from gay political backers for his 2012 campaign. Every action he has taken in office has fully supported the homosexual agenda.
This is all just so EXPECTED. We are so beyond being surpised.
Obama would happily throw every homosexual in this nation under the bus if and when it suits his agenda, so look out, it aint so fun living as a gay under sharia law. I can just imagine the surprises four more years of this guy would bring.

Because Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they felt shame and hid themselves from God who came seeking them. As a punishment, God made Eve to bare children… in sorrow. Having children, according to the Adam and Eve story, is the punishment we receive for hiding our behavior.
Jesus, when asked about marriage, answers that there is no marriage in heaven. Jesus certainly did not marry, and he chose the companionship of men, and one in particular, John, with whom he had a “special relationship”.
Finally, with populations of people exceeding the limits of the Earth to support, I am all in favor of natural birth control, ie. homosexual relationships. It also frees up more people from family obligations so that the important social work gets down. Gay is good.

In fact, there seems to have been some criticism about how Jesus loved Mary Magdelane. What was going on there was simple. The more you love Jesus, the more he loves you. Doesn’t mean it’s sexual, either. As for the marriage thing, he said the Angels in Heaven don’t marry, but that there would be a marriage supper in Heaven for the Lamb and his Church. Also, in the Temple, Jesus said I AM. That was the name given to Moses from the burning bush, and so it is safe to say that everything in the Old Testament meets with the approval of Jesus, including calling homosexuality an abomination.
