A mother has been jailed after she filmed her children getting changed for the sexual gratification of her new paedophile boyfriend.
The 42-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had earlier signed a bizarre ‘contract’ with her new lover – a retired fire and rescue worker – agreeing to become his ‘sex slave’.
The mother-of-three, who lives in a village near Cambridge, grossly neglected her young children, secretly filming all of them undressing for her partner’s sick ‘gratification’, the city’s Crown Court heard.
The court also heard how the offences only came to light after police seized the boyfriend’s camera and computer after arresting him for an unrelated incident.
The man, 51, from Suffolk, pleaded guilty on the first day of this trial to taking 51 indecent photos of children and possessing 1,269 images and downloading a further 2,361 and was jailed for three years.
The mother was sent to prison for 15 months after pleading guilty to making the video of her children and to one count of child cruelty and two of neglect.
Sentencing her at Cambridge Crown Court, Judge Jonathan Haworth said: ‘You utterly failed to protect your children by positively joining in their grooming.
‘Your desire to satisfy [your boyfriend’s] sexual interests overrode your maternal instincts.’
Judge Haworth told the man: ‘I have no doubt that you entered into the relationship as a precursor to use her children for your gratification.’
The mother began her relationship with the man who turned out to be a paedophile on the social networking site Facebook
The court also heard how the mother had previously sold a story to a national newspaper about how an ex-boyfriend had turned out to be a paedophile.
After being released by police in August 2010 and diagnosed as having a masochistic personality disorder she then began a relationship on Facebook with another known sex offender.
Thomas Brown, prosecuting, said the offences only came to light after the male was arrested for an unrelated matter.
Following the sentencing, Det Con Mel Telford, of Cambridgeshire Police, said: “He is a dangerous man who targeted a mother he could use to gain access to her children.
‘It was a sickening breach of trust by a mother to use her own daughter to feed a paedophile’s fetishes.’

It’s sickening What some women will do just to get and keep a man. What a disgusting person to do such a thing to your own children, in fact to anyone’s children (remember the nursery abuse case). Is she mentally deficient or just desperate for a man? Abusers and anyone who helps them should be locked up for life. This might not stop the person initially abusing children but they wouldn’t be able to do it again if they are locked up.

I am mystified by your opinion that this woman is somehow less responsible for her actions than her scum boyfriend). She is responsible for what she did, end of discussion.
She did it because she wanted too, he did not make her do it, put the blame where it lies, squarely on both of them.

As sick, depraved and disgusting as this is – people should be questioning why she apparently seeks out relationships with paedophiles – was she herself abused and left unable to see right from wrong? I agree jail time is essential but lets get her the mental support I suspect she may clearly need.

She should have been given been given 5yrs and the children taken away and given a new life she can never interfere with again. He will never stop what he’s been doing, he will just find more devious ways of doing it, he should have been given 15yrs, and monitored for the rest of his life when he’s released.
