Monsanto shareholder Bill Gates has argued that GMOs are the solution to world hunger, going as far as to say that they are actually needed to fight worldwide starvation. Unfortunately for Gates, who back in 2010 bought 500,000 shares of the company he is now promoting in mainstream media as the solution to the world’s problems, a team of 900 scientists have found that GMO crops are actually not effective at fighting world hunger. In fact, the massive team found that Monsanto’s seeds, which have lead to thousands of farmer suicides due to excessive costs and failure to yield crops, were outperformed by traditional “agro-ecological” farming practices.
Funded by the World Bank and United Nations, an organization was created known as the International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD). Consisting of 900 scientists and researchers, they set out to examine the complex issue of world hunger. While the issue of world hunger may be quite complex, their results were not. Quite plainly, the group found that genetically modified crops were not a meaningful solution to the problem. In other words, the expert team showed through rigorous analysis and repeated study that the claims made by Bill Gates are completely inaccurate.
Perhaps what is most compelling, though, is the fact that Bill Gates was fully aware of these findings before going on air to inform the public that GMOs are the solution to world hunger. The same GMOs that have been linked to organ damage, mutated insects, and a host of other issues.
Bill Gates Knew of These Findings Beforehand
The findings of the IAASTD regarding the ineffectiveness of GMO crops were published on April 15, 2008. That is long before Bill Gates’ address to the public in late January of this year. Did Monsanto stockholder Gates ignore this information, or does he believe the 900 scientists to be incorrect? Perhaps the evidence generated from the expert team is not enough. In that case, then Gates should look no farther than the Union of Concerned Scientists.
Another massive research organization, the Union of Concerned Scientists also examined the true yield of GMO crops, only to find that the altered crops do not produce increased yields over the long run — despite their excessive cost and extreme danger to health and environment. The lack of scientific support behind the GMO crops was so startling to the Union that they documented all the details in a 2009 report entitled ”Failure to Yield.”
GMO crops are not only ineffective at fighting world hunger, but are a genuine threat to public health. Even if they were effective at feeding more individuals than traditional farming practices, would they really want to consume it? Bill Gates appears to have the interests of massive corporations in mind when perpetuating the myth that GMOs are the answer to fighting starvation.

Of course, GM crops are not the only way to increase food production. The traditional methods of cross-breeding and crop alteration, access to water, fertlization of land, access to pesticides, etc… ALL have a part to play.
There is no one solution. GM crops can help…along with other ideas. Organic and 100% ‘natural’ (that is…going back to the original crop that nature grew) is NOT the solution.
Bill Gates is dishonest. Bill Gates is a liar. Therefore Bill Gates is a loser.
Whereas you, on the other hand, are not dishonest? Not a liar? And are a winner?

Man has been tinkering with ‘natural crops’ for thousands of years…one of the reasons we are able to feed so many people, one of the reasons your foodstuffs are still cheap.
If anyone here thinks that man hasn’t altered any ‘natural’ crops is a fool.
If you want to look for a GMO success, take a look at the crop yields for sorghum in Africa. Drought and disease tolerant sorghum has been ‘created’ that has allowed for between 150%-400% improvement in yields over the ‘natural’ variety.
If GMO’s can help to reduce man’s reliance on chemicals…then that is a good thing.

It way never the intention of Bill Gates to feed the world. GMO designer crops that fail and have toxins and mutagens inside of them to malnourish the world because they are devoid of essential vitamins and minerals, now that is more like it. The same goes with the mass vaccinations to “save” people from the perils of diseases, while making them sick and sterile at the same time.
That is how Gates plays this game. It makes you think he is out to save the world when he is out to reduce the population by countless tens of millions. Gates is a “humanitarian”. Monsanto is “humanitarian” Enemy of mankind is more like it.
If you had a foundation worth tens of billions of dollars I think most would want to genuinely help people. When you have UN eugenicist psychopaths at the helm, you get the opposite.
His new name should be Bill Monsanto Gates.

Only a scientist is retarded and tortuous enough to think world hunger is complex. Farmers and food buyers are oppressed and taxed to the death, that’s all.
Food growing is complex because they do not allow people to grow food. You simply can not grow food in many places, and those place in which you are allowed to, there is so much governmental red-tape, regulations, bullshit or fighting (wars, etc) that it is prohibitively expensive to grow food. Never mind the cost or difficulty is securing the land to do it and not being taxed to death as well.
It is a akin to a complex housing market. It is complex because government is involved. Otherwise it would not be so complicated if people were actually allowed to go get land and build their own houses – which is most places they are not easily allowed to do without a pile of cash.

Astounding failure due to trusting in man’s altering of God’s design by tampering with the original seed! But God would have none of it, because of man’ departure from trusting His wisdom … Pretty good old world isn’t it until man comes alonng trying to improve on God’s stable designs!
Case in point… Clones of Animals all die in short order and are born Sterile from what I’ve heard… God wouldn’t allow it!
