Stage Stores names C. Clayton Reasor to its board

HOUSTON (AP) — Department store chain Stage Stores Inc. said Wednesday that it named longtime ConocoPhillips executive C. Clayton Reasor to its board.

Reasor’s appointment, which was effective Friday, increases the board’s membership to eight.

Reasor, 55, will serve on the board’s compensation committee and its corporate governance and nominating committee, Houston-based Stage said.

In May, Reasor was named as senior vice president for investor relations, strategy and corporate affairs at Houston-based Phillips 66, which was recently spun off from ConocoPhillips.

He previously served as ConocoPhillips’ vice president for investor and corporate relations. Reasor originally joined Phillips Petroleum in 1979.

Stage shares fell 81 cents, or 4.6 percent, to $16.69 in afternoon trading.
