State Rep Called Out for Viral ‘Maskless Flight’ Pic Shamelessly Calls for ‘Universal Mask-Wearing’

By

Last week, a plane full of Democratic lawmakers from the state of Texas posted a picture to social media showing themselves maskless and smiling on their way to Washington, D.C. in an attempt to block a Republican voting bill in their state. The picture subsequently went viral as the hypocrisy behind such an act was glaring considering every single one of the politicians on that plane pushed for mask mandates and the rest of the country is forced to wear a mask on an airplane.

“Does this mean we can stop wearing masks on planes? Or is that rule just waived for Democrats on private planes?” Florida Republican Congressman Greg Steube tweeted.

The hypocrisy in the photo was palpable which garnered the group of lawmakers scorn across the entire internet. But that was just the beginning. Just when we thought the “do as I say, not as a do” mentality couldn’t get any worse, Democrat Texas state Rep. Donna Howard, who appeared in the photo, gleefully smiling without a mask on, took the hypocrisy to the next level.

After returning from their trip, five of her colleagues on the plane tested positive for COVID-19 — despite the fact that they had all been vaccinated — and Howard shifted gears.

After attempting to stave off the scorn by pointing out that TSA only requires masks on commercial flights and not private flights, Howard — who was seen days earlier flying maskless on a full plane — called for universal mask-wearing.

“Unfortunately, the spike in infections from the delta variant became apparent immediately after our flight,” Howard said, adding, “had we known at the time, we would have worn masks.”

She went on to call for forced masks on school children as well — despite the litany of information indicating otherwise.

“We need to follow the science here,” Howard Tweeted on Wednesday. “Texas needs to change course and allow for universal mask-wearing to prevent spread of the highly contagious delta variant, esp as children under 12 cannot get vaccinated yet.”

Apparently, Howard didn’t read any of the laws in her own state, as Texas does, indeed, “allow for universal mask-wearing.” They just don’t force people to do so, which is how a free society is supposed to work.

Howard is certainly not alone in her stance, nor her hypocrisy as we have been reporting on politicians breaking their own mandates since the start of the pandemic last year.

Out of the gate, the Mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot was one of the heavy handed local dictators who threatened to kidnap and cage people for violating her orders — unless of course, that person was her.

After implementing a lockdown and threatening jail for violators — even people who just wanted a haircut — Lightfoot was busted going to a salon to get an illegal haircut.

After she was caught, like Howard, Lightfoot defended the decision, saying, “I’m the public face of this city and you know, I’m a person who [takes] personal hygiene very seriously and I felt like I needed to have a haircut. So I got a haircut.”

This is the mentality of all the pro-lockdown tyrants who are on a long list of other hypocrites caught breaking their own rules.

What’s more, the very idea of mask-wearing is being called into question by scientists across the world. A scientist who was chosen to advise the UK’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) on the spread of COVID, Dr. Colin Axon, recently told the Telegraph that masks are just “comfort blankets” that do little to reduce the spread of Covid particles.

Colin accused medical experts of giving people a “cartoonish view” of how airborne virus particles travel through the air. According to the Telegraph, he warned some cloth masks have gaps which are invisible to the naked eye, but are 500,000 times the size of viral Covid particles.

“The small sizes are not easily understood but an imperfect analogy would be to imagine marbles fired at builders’ scaffolding, some might hit a pole and rebound, but obviously most will fly through,” he told The Telegraph.
