Two months ago, when San Diegans heard a similar sound, there was evidence of chaff on weather radar. Chaff is a material sometimes emitted during military exercises.
On Friday, however, Tina Stall with the National Weather Service said there was no visible chaff in the area at the time the noise was reported.
“There was indeed an atmospheric tremor, or ‘skyquake,’” Walker said. “The likely cause of these ‘skyquakes’ is routine military activity very far off the coast of San Diego (at least 50 miles away) in zones that are designated military training zones.”
Typically, we don’t hear these “skyquakes.” But when the wind reaches speeds of over 100 miles per hour, the sound can reach parts of San Diego, Walker said.
A spokesperson from Camp Pendleton said Marines are not training with anything unusual. They often train with various military equipment and will be training with tanks both Saturday and Sunday.

There was actually a lot of seismic activity clocked on USGS last night, same longitude(?) as juan de fuca plate, and some minor shakes in CA
think it could be seismic and they dont want people to panic?

This freakish clone [coasTTx] is coming right out of Jesse Ventura’s propaganda toolbox in retaliation for my having exposed his involvement in MK/ULTRA and his hokey position on the 2nd Amendment. That’s it… It’s an attempt to discredit me all the while lofting what some people will loosely associate with a character issue and dismiss the information I am sharing online about his involvement with MK. It’s a form of censorship, and it is being promoted by Paul and Steve Watson in contravention of their stated mission to spread the truth. San Clemente Island (Part of the Channel Islands) is used for NGFS (Naval Gun Fire Support). The water surrounding San Clemente is shark infested to the nth degree.
Several of these Islands have closed Communities on them. The requirement being that you must have an Airplane to live there. Kinda hush hush anymore, but used to be common knowledge. Suppose the ultra rich don’t want visitors such as you and I showing up and ruining the party.

Skyquake? A very Hollywood name for a windy day.
I did a bit of research on this and found something interesting.
Aurora Project may have caused the rumbling and boom.
Probably the most compelling evidence for such flight tests are the series of unusual sonic booms chronicled above Southern California, beginning in mid to late 1991. On at least five occasions, these sonic booms were recorded by at least 25 of the 220 US Geological Survey sensors across Southern California used to pinpoint earthquake epicenters. The incidents were recorded in June, October, November, and late January 1991. Seismologists estimate that the aircraft were flying at speeds between Mach 3 and 4 and at altitudes of 8 to 10 kilometers. The
aircraft’s flight path was in a North North-East direction, consistent with flight paths to secret test ranges in Nevada. Seismologists say that the sonic booms were characteristic of a smaller vehicle than the 37 meter long shuttle orbiter. Furthermore, neither the shuttle nor NASA’s single SR-71B were operating on the days the booms were registered.
One of the seismologists, Jim Mori, noted:
“We can’t tell anything about the vehicle. They seem stronger than other sonic booms that we record once in a while. They’ve all come on Thursday mornings about the same time, between 6 and 7 in the morning.”
These “skyquake” are a continuing phenomenon, with the most recent report over Orange County, CA coming on 20 July 1996. It is reported that the “quake” occurred around 3pm PST, fitting the “skyquake” pattern in the following respects:
It occurred in a coastal area.
Described as similar to an earthquake in some respects (rattling of loose objects, etc) but also like a boom (but no distinct double bang as far as is known).
Severe enough to light up government and media switchboards, but no known damage.
Not an earthquake (CalTech sensors saw nothing)
Local military bases deny any knowledge.
No known other source (eg explosion)
I am in San Diego County and I felt and heard it. It was NOT your classic sonic boom, not even close. It was not an earthquake and it was not the normal Camp Pendleton live fire exercises. I have experienced all of those I just mentioned. This what my husband and I felt and heard yesterday afternoon was similar to one or two of these boom/shakes we experienced before. They confirm it’s not an earthquake, or coming from any military base here. So it must be some secret military project and that is where I came up with my previous post. Someone else here in San Diego mentioned the Aurora Project so I did some research on it. For one…it’s not so secret any more but many have never heard of it.
I want to add to…I have a friend in Chula Vista who a couple of hours before the loud boom and shake, he heard what sounded like the groaning trumpet rumble that people hear around the globe. I was outside earlier that morning and I felt a pulsating in the air, all the outside noises were vaguely pulsating as if something was interfering in the sound waves. Then at about 12:45 there was the loud boom and shake.
You tell me there is nothing going on. Our government is drooling at the mouth wanting war and they are just preparing for it everyday possible.

i live in daygo, it was not a normal earthquake, after every one i feel like i was just on a roller coaster. not yesterday, felt like it came from the air not the ground, ground didnt shake concrete block wall sure did though. also after a quake i usually feel disoriented didnt feel one bit like that. gf who works in chula vista didnt even feel it. it lasted maybe 2 seconds
