Trump Rally Crowd Boos RINO Congressman Carlos Gimenez, Who Is Part of Scalise’s Gang And Endorsed Hillary

Last Updated on November 8, 2023

President Donald Trump competed with the Republican Party’s junior varsity presidential debate on Wednesday with a rousing rally in Hialeah, Florida. The city was 94 percent Hispanic as of 2020, according to U.S. Census data. Members of the pro-Trump crowd helpfully informed Trump that they do not like Carlos Gimenez, the 28th District Republican congressman and former mayor of Miami-Dade County.

Gimenez has tried to make his bones in Washington, D.C. by working as an assistant whip for Steve Scalise, the scurrilous House leadership figure who is accused of kiboshing Jim Jordan’s populist bid for House speaker. Also, Gimenez literally endorsed Hillary Clinton instead of Trump in 2016.

“Oh, you don’t like him?” President Trump asked the crowd as they booed Gimenez.

“NO!” members of the audience shouted back.

“What’s going on? Carlos, come on, Carlos. We gotta get that straightened out. Carlos Gimenez. Really? Wow. Carlos!,” President Trump mused, taking mental note of the crowd’s antipathy toward Gimenez. Trump is a master political tactician and he definitely pays attention to the way his rally crowds react when certain other politicians get named.

This is not the first time that some members of MAGA Nation have made their feelings known about Carlos Gimenez. In fact, Carlos Gimenez, who was the Miami-Dade County mayor at the time, got booed at a September 2020 Trump rally in Miami while he was speaking.
