The cost of U.S. military intervention in Libya has cost American taxpayers an estimated $896 million through July 31, the Pentagon said today.

The price tag includes the amounts for daily military operations, munitions used in the operation and humanitarian assistance for the Libyan people.

The U.S. has also promised $25 million in non-lethal aid to the Libyan Transitional National Council, half of which the Defense Department has already on MRE’s (military lingo for Meals, Ready to Eat).

The military delivered 120,000 Halal MRE’s to Benghazi in May and a second shipment that included medical supplies, boots, tents, uniforms, and personal protective gear in June.

We have always been “paying”. The US tax payer helped to rebuilt Europe after bother world wars. Do the search. We pay to keep bases open in foreign countries that were defeated by US forces after the wars and continue through today. Who “gave” the Afghan forces “stinger missiles” to fight the Soviets with? Thats right. Just one very small example.

Apparently Al-Qaeda is not really behind 9/11. The US just sent those supposed terrorist $25 million. Perhaps they were manufactured all along. Either that or America forgot who their true enemy is.

  2. This are the same terrorists killing our solderiers in Iraq …..and NATO and Obama back them?

Then Obama is a terrorist and a traitor and should be put on trial for high treason.

When you hire mercenaries one cannot be picky can one?

It appears the US has decided to use mercenaries (aka contractors) since they don’t have to conform to pesky international law and the ‘outdated’ Geneva Convention nor do they cause political problems on the home front.

Just like Rome these mercenaries are equipped and paid. Once victorious they are allowed to “unwind” with some entertaining rape and plunder.

    Makes ya proud doesn’t it!!!

  3. You have not read about the unsung heros who are taking their country back, Watch Fox news to see how jesus obama is leading his people back to the promise land.

No,,,, those terrorists would be the ones in DC…

  5. The terrorists are no doubt the Libyan branch of the Obama 2012

    re-election committee.

    Bring our soldiers home…

  6. Can we trade Obama for Gadhafi?
I think Gadhafi has more of our best interest
    at heart than Barry.

There’s an element of truth to that. Or better said, Gadhafi has his people’s best interest at heart, unlike Obama.

If you look through 20th century history right up to today you’ll find many of the leaders we’ve seen fit to dispose of were independent-minded nationalist who didn’t threaten the US. people or even their own citizens but did threaten the global oligarchy that confronts us today. And when it comes to truly tyrannical regimes the former Soviet Union received US aid during WWII, Red China has been granted our manufacturing base, and Israel receives billions of US tax dollars per year, and all these regimes have one thing in common – they are internationalist. Ideas such as sovereignty, nationalism, populism, and the like are poison pills for the globalist agenda. We have a government which does not serve its people, violates the rights of people within sovereign nations, and otherwise acts as an instrument of evil. It’s a goddam sad thing when you think about it. How many Americans have died or left a piece of themselves on foreign lands we had no business being on, all for a LIE? As a veteran of long service I think of this often.

  7. Reuters 19 minutes ago:

Gadaffi son talks to press…says Libya still in hands of government,

and not in control of the NATO terrorists

  8. You know it would be a nice slap in the face if Al Q was to take the money use it for other means and build up an army to say attack Isreal?

I mean wouldn’t that kinda help them out more in the long run. That is assuming that these people are not US citizens playing the role of rebel fighters.
