A new survey on health care is revealing that you may not be getting what you pay for if you check into a U.S. hospital.

The U.S. healthcare system is more effective at delivering high costs than quality care than other developed nations, according to the study, conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, or OECD.

It found first-rate treatment for cancer but insufficient primary care for other ailments.

The study said Americans pay more than $7,900 per person for healthcare each year – far more than any other OECD country – but still die earlier than their peers in the industrialized world.

  1. Yep and cameron and co (all but one of his cabinet are millionaires) are bringing this shit to the uk while thier pension pots rise to 750 thousand pounds each……..it aint only bankers who need arresting……max kieser is right

  2. The U.S. health insurance cartel has annual premium increases in the range of 10 to 40 percent. For example my neighbor is self-employed and his premiums went up from like 500 a month to 700. Naturally he yelled.

When the CEO of United Healthcare make a 100 million dollar bonus, where do you think that money comes from? It comes from your premiums which you are now REQUIRED to pay.

    It’s a racket!

ITS THEFT pure and simple and god help us if we end up like that here but its coming via unum and atos and the back door privatisation of the health service here that has taken over 50 years to build up by taxpayers and we can get treatment at point of need without worrying if our insurance covers us and yep same as canada we pay more through taxes but it works but our mps and other are stealing it and handing the whole health care system to private companies and people will die from that that dont die know. PROFIT above people ….

  3. Cut my finger real bad the other day. Went to the hospital – 20 min drive. Nurse called the Doctor at home – 15 minutes. 11 stitches – 30 minutes. Total cost – 0$. Ah…. Canada. I’ll pay more for beer any day if it means not having to pay a corporation. The U.S. does have the best health care though…. just have to be rich. The saying is true; you can judge a society by how it treats its worst off.
