A woman and two children have left the southeast Queensland house where they were being held hostage by a man.
Police say the woman and two children, aged two and four, left the Augusta St house at Crestmead, in Logan, south of Brisbane, late in the afternoon.
A man remained inside the house.
Police were called to the home about 8.30am (AEST) on Monday after receiving reports of a disturbance.
The house was cordoned off and Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) members attended the scene.
Police negotiators had been trying to talk with the man, who is armed with a knife.
“There had been a relationship breakdown that’s been going on for some time,” Inspector Darren Harland told the Nine Network.
