FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda British police investigating the phone-hacking scandal at Rupert Murdoch‘s News of the World tabloid arrested a woman on Monday on suspicion of money-laundering, Scotland Yard said.
The arrest of the unidentified 42-year-old is the latest in a series since police in January 2011 reopened the investigation into hacking at the now-closed newspaper.
“She was arrested after attending a southwest London police station by appointment at approximately 11:00 hrs (1000 GMT) on suspicion of money laundering offences… and is currently being questioned,” a police statement said.
Police said the arrest was made by officers from Operation Weeting, the Metropolitan Police investigation into the illegal hacking of mobile phone voicemails.
More than 40 people have been arrested by under that operation and a linked investigation, Operation Elveden, which is probing the alleged bribery of public officials by journalists from News Corp. newspapers.
A 37-year-old female employee of News International, the British newspaper arm of US-based News Corp., was arrested and bailed under Operation Elveden on Friday.
Murdoch shut down the News of the World in July 2011 after revelations that the tabloid had hacked the voicemails of a murdered British schoolgirl caused a wave of public disgust.
Rebekah Brooks, the former chief executive of News International and a one-time editor of the News of the World, was charged earlier this month with perverting the course of justice.
