Tashkent, June 24, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Uzbekistan’s capital for Tehran on Friday evening as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit ended.
Zarif SCO conference opened in Tashkent on Friday with the participation of Iranian Foreign Minister.
Iran has currently observer status in the SCO and it is expected that Iranian full membership to be put on agenda of the SCO conference.
The Iranian official stressed that presidents of China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, India and Pakistan backed Iran’s SCO bid for membership.
