Col Gaddafi has agreed to speak to the rebels about transferring power to the rebels, his chief spokesman Moussa Ibrahim has allegedly said.

Moussa Ibrahim reportedly telephoned the New York headquarters of press agency AP on Saturday night. The agency said they identified the chief spokesman by his voice.

Ibrahim, who said he was calling from Tripoli, claimed he saw Col Gaddafi on Friday to discuss how they would start negotiations for a transitional government. He said the former dictator was still in Libya and his son al-Saadi would lead the talks.

In the past, Gaddafi referred to the rebels as “thugs” and “rats.” The rebels have said they will not negotiate with Gaddafi, who ruled Libya with an iron fist for 42 years.

Col Gaddafi’s apparent offer of talks on transferring power in Libya was dismissed as “delusional” by Britain.

  1. Everyone should read the full article, it gives alot more information and gives a slight picture of what it is like to live through a revolution.

  2. I like how anything involving Gaddafi reported by the lametsream is “allegedly” yet anything about the rebels that is positively reported by these morons is stated as fact even though 1-2 days later it is proven to be false.

No bias and propaganda going on there….

  3. That is really funny. Quack-A-Daffy offering to help set up a transition government, is like Russian Czar Nicholas II offering to help the Marxists set up their transition government. LOL!
