60kb/d rise in delivery capacity of Karoun oil company

TEHRAN, Feb. 10 (Shana) — Managing director of Karoun oil and Gas Producing Company said the firm’s oil delivery capacity to domestic refineries has increased by 60,000 b/d.

Mohsen Dahanzadeh said the company is responsible for supplying feedstock to the country’s refineries and has managed to upgrade its services and boosting its delivery capacity.

He said the firm has replaced the 20-inch pipeline delivering crude oil recovered from Asmari oilfield with a 24-inch pipeline which has raised delivery capacity of the pipeline.

He said the crude oil produced at Asmari oil field is of high quality is and consumed by refineries in northern parts of the country and Abadan in southwestern province of Khuzestan.

The company delivers over 500,000 b/d of crude oil to domestic refineries and is planning to add to its capacity by another 100,000b/d by launching a new pipeline stretching from Ahwaz’s Asmari oilfield, said Dahanzadeh.
