Lt Col Kevin Olson, a spokesman for the National Guard, said: “We looked very
closely at his record. We did not find something to substantiate what he
said.”
And it has also emerged that the photo of a soldier shown in the pre-recorded
segment is not actually Poe, but a different
soldier Staff Sgt Norman Bone.
The company, FremantleMedia, which produces America’s Got Talent says the
photo was provided by Poe and they ran it in good faith.
