Sardar Attaullha was heading to his house on Tuesday when a bomb planted on a road hit his vehicle in Charmang area of Bajur tribal district.
Attaullha died on the spot while the injured were taken to a local hospital.
Security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into attack.
Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
Since late 2009, there has been a surge in militant attacks in Pakistan, where thousands have been displaced in the aftermath of the militancy sweeping across the country.
