A BOY has been killed after apparently running out in front of a bus on the New South Wales Central Coast.
It is understood the boy aged between four and 10 was leaving a medical centre on Mangrove Road, Narara, about 11.15am with his mother and ran ahead to their car parked across the road.
A driver traveling behind the bus said the “boy’s shoes flew off, it was terrible”.
Neighbours heard the mother’s screams and ran outside to help.
It is understood medical centre staff tried to provide first aid and paramedics were called about 11.15am but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have closed Mangrove Rd at the intersection of Narara Valley Way as detectives try and interview witnesses.
