BREAKING: This City About To CONFISCATE Or DESTROY ALL Semiautomatic Weapons, This Is BAD

Times have certainly changed in America, thanks to freedom-hating progressives that seek to ban, censor, or destroy anything they dislike, and such is evident in the city where the American Revolution was started. They have a sinister plan to eviscerate the Second Amendment, and it’s about as un-American as you can get.

While most conservatives view the Constitution as a document that’s dead as a doornail, the progressive left seems to think it’s “living” and “breathing,” which gives them the right to alter its meaning at their discretion, even though that’s really not the case. However, being wrong hasn’t ever stopped them in the past, and despite being majorly wrong on the Second Amendment, Lexington, Massachusetts is about to do what everyone said would never happen – come for people’s guns.

Yes, you read that right. Even though the anti-gun crowd has consistently reassured us that “nobody is coming for your guns,” it appears as if Lexington police are about to be coming for people’s guns. Plus, I’m not sure if it’s ironic or incredibly sad, but Lexington also happens to be the city where the American Revolution kicked off.

Ever hear of the Battle of Lexington and Concord? Yeah, it’s that Lexington. So while the road to our freedom arguably started in this very city, now the progressive left is launching a massive attack on people’s Second Amendment rights, in that very city.

Oh, the irony on this one is astounding.

They are now advocating for the government to seize legally owned firearms from the town’s residents.

The town of Lexington utilizes an annual town meeting to set policy, bylaws and approve things like the town budget. The residents do not vote directly; instead they have approximately 200 “town meeting members” who vote in representation of their constituents.

One such town meeting member, a Harvard professor named Robert Rotberg has taken it upon himself to enact, what he hopes will be “a movement against assault weapons that would capture the state and therefore maybe explode to reach the country.”

He has seized upon the recent ban enacted in Highland Park, IL, and has modeled his own ban, almost copying the language verbatim. Filing it to the town meeting warrant as Article 34.

Among other things, Article 34 includes any firearm that is semi-automatic and can accept a magazine that will hold more than 10 rounds. It also includes any magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. The article also has a provision in which Lexington’s licensed gun owners who own firearms included in the ban would be forced to sell, render inoperable, or have them seized and destroyed by the police department.

The town of Lexington will be discussing Article 34, at their annual town meeting beginning on March 21st. There will be robust discussion before the vote, but ultimately it will come down to how the town meeting members vote.

Perhaps they’ve never heard of “Shall not be infringed?” That’s doubtful – they’re just ignoring the words “shall not” and listening to the rest, it appears.

Oddly enough, these are the same people arguing that Obama needs to fill Justice Scalia’s vacancy because the Constitution says the president “shall” make a nomination in a timely manner. Apparently, the meaning of the word “shall” changes with a progressive’s perspective, which really isn’t anything new.

Anyways, if this does indeed pass, then not only can we tell the anti-gun crowd “I told you so,” but we can start kissing our Second Amendment rights goodbye, especially if the GOP caves and confirms whoever Obama nominates to SCOTUS, since there’s little question if it will end up in the Supreme Court. After all, we’ve been one liberal judge away from the complete obliteration of our Right to Bear Arms for some time now, and you and I both know that a potential jurist’s stance on gun rights will undoubtedly be a litmus test for Ayatollah Obama.
