Detached houses virtually “illegal” under global warming laws

The state of California has declared war on detached family homes, with laws passed to mitigate car use and carbon dioxide emissions now leading to policies that mandate up to 30 homes be built on a single acre of land, fulfilling the goal of climate change alarmists to pack people into densely populated prison cities.

“Metropolitan area governments are adopting plans that would require most new housing to be built at 20 or more to the acre, which is at least five times the traditional quarter acre per house. State and regional planners also seek to radically restructure urban areas, forcing much of the new hyperdensity development into narrowly confined corridors,” reports the Wall Street Journal.

In some areas of Los Angeles County and five other Southern California counties, 30 housing units per acre are being mandated, all under the auspices of laws passed in the name of cutting car use and limiting CO2 emissions, including the 2006 Global Warming Solutions Act and the 2008 Sustainable Communities and Climate Protection Act.

The rules on restricted development are driving up house prices and driving down standards of living. Even if you believe the justification of lowering greenhouse gases, the regulations won’t even achieve that, with greater traffic congestion merely confined to overpopulated cities as additional houses continue to use cars.

Transportation consultant Wendell Cox told the WSJ that the whole process represented an effort to make the construction of detached houses “illegal”.

This is all part of the United Nations’ Agenda 21 project which demands that member nations adopt “sustainable development” policies that are little more than a disguise for the reintroduction of neo-feudalism and only serve to reduce living standards and quality of life.

The true motivation behind this agenda was recently unveiled at the ‘Planet Under Pressure’ conference in London, during which climate change alarmists presented their blueprint for humans to be packed into denser cities (eco-gulags?) so that the rest of the planet can be surrendered to mother nature. It’s a similar idea to the nightmare ‘Planned-Opolis’ proposal put out by the Forum for the Future organization last year, in which human activity will be tightly regulated by a dictatorial technocracy in the name of saving the planet, with cars for personal use banned and only accessible to members of the elite.

The mindset of this gaggle of arrogant, scoffing elitists in their drive to micro-manage the human race, which they regard as a plague on the earth, was best encapsulated by the following quote from ‘Planet Under Pressure’ attendee and Yale University professor Karen Seto.

  • A d v e r t i s e m e n t

“We certainly don’t want them (humans) strolling about the entire countryside. We want them to save land for nature by living closely [together],” Seto told MSNBC.

Also making an appearance at the conference was none other than Professor Kari Norgaard, who published a paper calling for global warming skeptics to be “treated” for having a mental disorder, likening them to racists.

Despite academic establishments Norgaard is involved with hastily rushing to delete and alter information concerning her paper and biography, a letter Norgaard wrote to President Obama soon emerged in which she urged Obama to suspend democracy and push through dictatorial climate change mandates by executive fiat.

That process is already well underway in California.

  1. California is all messed up. It’s leading the charge on green legislation. Green=evil and anti libertarian!!! I think it’s super ironic how legislation passed with pressure from evironmental activist groups could be used in the future to prevent tree huggers from protesting

Don’t let somebody else do your dirty work Startover….If you do not like us, come get us yourself. The idiots pack into crowded cities. The rest of Northern California is full of gunowners that are awake.

  2. Well if we are going to breed like rabbits might as well pile us in like them. I have no use myself for a yard that is not productive, fortunately most of mine is garden for my family, the rest is native xeriscape i dug up here and there for free and transplanted in my yard. I actually find it comically greedy and gluttonous to watch my neighbour mow his giant grassed yard and never use it for anything, then water the shit out of it, rinse and repeat. I spend about 1/8 of the time on yard maintainence and visitors find mine more attractive than a swatch of grass.

    lol msminxy.

yeah…you are missing your calling…you should be on some city council or strata council or something…leaching way too much public money to tell others how they should live. Because you know…you know better.

You are obviously cut from a much higher moral standard cloth…who does your neighbour think he is growing a green lawn!

damn those greedy, gluttonous peasant folks that love their green lawns!

    They should be locked up!

Underneath your open contempt … your tone … is a willingness… no doubt… for someone with a gun… to force that “comical” “gluttonous” “greedy” neighbor to be in line with your psychically well manicured, mowed and trimmed… imprinted opinions.

The next step in your state school mind control “predictive programing” will be the same well hoed… watered… anger and envy… that will take delight in that man being hauled off to jail or worse for his environmental crime.

I mean after all… we are just rabbits?

Has it ever occurred to you that you need… to get away from that neighbor… to have more space… to be alone… for what nature intended you to be… something in part…without order… orders… or the seething despising edge… that you so fully evidence?

And that… you resent his proximity? And that resentment has been tenderly grown sense before pre-school.

As for “breeding like rabbits”… the birth rate in the USA is just slightly above replacement even with illegal immigration and for that very likely white man… you condescend to… it is I believe around 1.8… that is, substantially below replacement of 2.2. Italy, Spain… both Catholic countries at least nominally …. about 1.4 per two adults I believe… WAY WAY below replacement.

All population studies now anticipate a very large drop-off of human population… I suspect without government action it will be quite dramatic in two to three generations.

Education… voluntary birth control… wealth through massive creativity… brought on by Liberty… and full responsibility for one’s own life and actions in a truly free market… will produce a population reduction quite drastic.

Not the Banking Cartel faux version of environmental concern… to drain the wealth and memory… from the West to force your longed for compliance… where the manicured lawns of your hatreds can more fully surface.

BUT… None of it requires the Security State or “Environmentalists” or a world connected vacuous spiteful mediocre bureaucracy… just informed helpful people… who all tend to want the best for our beautiful planet.

But that does not leave the ruling wolves in charge of the rabbits does it msminxy?

  3. “We certainly don’t want them (humans) strolling about the entire countryside. We want them to save land for nature by living closely [together],”

this is the same crap i heard when they “condemned ” my property , give it up for the greater good or go to jail. now everybody can enjoy the new fed owned land. but me…….

this is more agenda 21 bullshit showing its ugly head , if i buy land and want to use it PRIVATELY then why cant i ?

californication will soon sink into the sea

  4. what will wake the people up is ” NECESSITIES ”

40 % of earth population live on 2 dollars a day bever forget that.

what are you living on daily? do you know where you stand? I have and I know on how much a day I can live on.

Then the $$$$$ going to the military empires is simple waste starving that 40 % of people surviving on 2 dollars a day?

  5. California has nothing but failed ideas. That’s why they’re BK and 1.6 million taxpayers have left the state since 2000. All you will have left are the nutjob liberals and the welfare recipients.

  6. What a farce. This way they can actually drive America into offical Third-World status, by packing people in like Sardines.
No offense to places like India and Egypt, but they force people to live in congested housing in those countries too, and the result is more poverty, ilness (check the amount of kidney disease in Egypt) from lack of potable water and sheer congestion.
At a certain point America truly is becoming a police state and dictatorship.
–You cannot pack people into this kind of housing; I grew up near Chicago and witnessed what happened in Cabrini Green housing slums-filth, daily shootings, drugs, prostitution.
Laws like they are proposing will INCREASE congestion, violence, and hopelessnes.
—The solution is to TOTALLY halt ALL ILLEGAL Immigration AND cut back by 98% on LEGAL IMMIGRATION!
This is NOT 1829 and there no longer is a Nebraska “Frontier”.
    Does Civil War loom near?
Signed…A very worried patriot that can seem to recognize his country anymore.

  7. Sorry, I meant to say CANNOT recognize his county anymore.
I guess I’m beside myself when I read stuff like this!

  8. Since the European descended population is leaving, this legislation isn’t for the benefit of anyone except new arrivals from the South.

Only the wealthy will be buying , who can afford a house on minimum wage these days or no job . California is a big bowl of granola anyway . Let the rich live like rats packed in together . I’m not leaving the county setting .

  10. The following passage in context relates to God’s judgement of Israel, B.C.

    Isaiah 5
8 Woe to those who join house to house [and by violently expelling the poorer occupants enclose large acreage] and join field to field until there is no place for others and you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!

9 In my [Isaiah’s] ears the Lord of hosts said, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and beautiful ones shall be without inhabitant.

  11. slefish a hole right here

  12. PLEASE no more Norgaad pics. It took 3 days to remove her last pictures from my memory, and it took lots of alcohol. Reminds me of trying to remove the Excorcist little girls pictures from my memory.

  13. The day will come when we will have no options left but to DEFEND OUR FREEDOM! How long can you be shit on before you stand up for yourself! We’re all in the together… If this is happening in California, it is SOON to FOLLOW across the United states. People, get ready to live FEMA style or get ready to defend what freedom we have left.

  14. Somebody needs to duct tape a few officials and drop them down a manhole. And please, no more of you CA people coming here to the South, we’ve got too many of you already. There’s a limit. Take care of your own problems and stop making them here for us.

Don’t worry Ho. I am not leaving California. Most people commenting on how their state is great and California sucks, have never been here. We have miles and miles of agriculture and Sierra Nevada mountains. The people that live in most of the state are not your Berkeley / SF crowd. There are millions of Californians awake and armed. The idiots cannot make me leave the Sierras, Tahoe, the Pacifis Ocean, and Yosemite…..

  15. We don’t need Agenda 21 to screw things up it’s like that already. Just buy a home in a setting that has a Home Owners Association!!! If you don’t pay the HOA fee’s they can sell your house right under your feet even if you own it outright!! They charge you for things like pool maintenance, common area landscaping, road repairs, and if they decide to build a Bingo Parlor for everyone, you get stuck with the bill. Can you imagine this new system with 20 something homes to 1 Acre??? What a joke. Sardine Can Village would be a good name. Imagine the Home Owners Assoc tyrants that would rise up in that scenerio. It’s scary. No thanks I’ll stay in the boonies.

  16. That works out to 1,452 squre feet per unit. This is Calcutta standards, no, worse… this is the same density that they have in Isreal and Palestine, the biggest cultural sink in the World. If this is not the spark to set off the “People’s Revolution”, then the only hope for a better more comfortable life is to sign up for the FEMA Hostles.

  17. There was an article recently about people in the inland desert being harassed and fined for chicken shlt reasons forcing them to have to abandon their homes. This would explain what is behind the move. It’s easier to control people and less expensive if they are in condensed areas. The overpopulation threat plus global warming scam are designed to fleece you and make it easier for them to do so.

  18. I wonder how much this will matter when foreclosures hit. Who will be building?
Also, will they repeat the foreclosure cycle fiasco again? I can’t see it not happening in our corporate corrupt environment.

People who want to be packed in like sardines are in the inner cities.

  19. Just think of how much green open space we’d create (and how much our environmental ‘footprint’ would be reduced) if all the environmentalists and other Marxist scum were rounded up and executed!
