Queensland police are investigating an officer over allegations he released confidential information.
The 42-year-old male officer from the Metropolitan North region has been stood down from official duty, police say.
It has been alleged he inappropriately accessed and released confidential information and attempted to interfere in criminal investigations.
A spokeswoman said police would not release further details at this time.
“He’s facing some internal investigation and we’ll wait to see when that investigation’s complete before we clarify anything further,” she told AAP.
