A 20-year-old fisherman had to be airlifted to hospital after falling 15 metres off a cliff onto rocks at Crescent Head on the NSW mid-north coast.
The man suffered suspected spinal, chest and head injuries in the accident, which happened at Crescent Head at about 7.20am (AEST) on Sunday.
The area where the fisherman fell was difficult to access by foot so the NSW Ambulance Service called in a medical rescue helicopter.
Paramedics were then winched down to stabilise the man before taking him to Port Macquarie Hospital.
The man was listed in a serious but stable condition.
