BRUSSELS, (PIC)– Hundreds of European activists staged a sit-in before the European parliament in Brussels on Tuesday to mark the Palestinian prisoner’s day.
The European activists were protesting the Israeli administrative detention policy against Palestinian citizens and hoisted photos of the detained Palestinian MPs.
Participants in the rally, organized by the Belgian friends of humanity society, condemned the Israeli detention of Palestinian MPs and the silence of the European parliament and the world community at the Israeli violations.
They lifted signs demanding the immediate release of Palestinian prisoners and lawmakers and supporting the Palestinian people’s right to choose their own representatives.
They said that the Israeli detention of those parliamentarians was in violation of international laws and norms, and demanded the trial of Israeli leaders at international courts.
