Ed Kraszewski, a spokesman for the National Police Corps, on Sunday said
victims had broken bones and neck injuries, sustained when they thrown
around inside the train.

“We assume many people were thrown around the train by the crash; against
walls, seats and other people,” he said.
It is not yet known how the trains, which remained on the track, ended up
travelling toward one another.
The cause is being investigated.
All trains between the city’s Central Station and Schiphol Airport were halted
after the accident on Saturday.
