FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Israeli NGO HaMoked said on Tuesday that nearly 250,000 Palestinians were stripped of their residency after Israel occupied the Palestinian territories in 1967.
More than 100,000 of those people lived in Gaza and about 140,000 others in the West Bank.
Their residencies were cancelled for different reasons such as failing to respond to a census, traveling overseas and not renewing permits.
HaMoked said that the Israeli policy that was in force for 27 years until the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1994 was in violation of international law.
“It is a clear violation of law for the occupying force to reduce the local population by revoking their residency rights, especially through an administrative procedure,” said Ido Blum, head of HaMoked’s legal team.
The policy of revoking residency is still implemented in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).
