Labor’s change of heart on coal seam gas

A shift in power appears to have given the opposition chance to reflect on its policies.

Under the Labor Government, New South Wales saw an increase in the licences granted to companies to extract coal seam gas.

But now the Labor leader, John Robertson is calling for the O’Farrell Government to suspend all current exploration licences.

He told us this morning he has done his own research and spoken to lots of people including farmers is very concerns about the potential impact on water.

But the Nationals member for Barwon Kevin Humphries said Mr Robertson has no commitment to anything rural:
