A CREEP oggling two young girls at a Victorian country service station is wanted by police after allegedly trying to abduct the pair.


Police are investigating the incident in Wendouree, a suburb of Ballarat, after the pair were allegedly approached soon after leaving a service station on Norman St about 1.15pm (AEDT).

A man who had re-fuelled his four-wheel-drive Land Rover is believed to have followed the girls before getting out of his car.

It is believed he then chased one of the girls into a nearby street, Bogart Dr.

Both girls ran home and told an adult.

A suspect was believed to have been seen in Redford Dr soon after the attempted abduction.

CCTV images of a man police want to talk to in relation to the incident, which occurred about 1.15pm, have been released.

The offender is described as Caucasian, aged between 20 and 40, with an athletic build with dark hair and tanned complexion.

He was wearing a black singlet with a yellow motif, dark-coloured running shorts, work boots with white socks, a black baseball cap and sunglasses.
