A man has been charged over the shooting at a North Adelaide cafe 12 days ago.

Police and STAR Group officers raided a house at Henley Beach South on Thursday afternoon and arrested the 24-year-old man from Salisbury.

Police have confirmed he is the man they were searching for after several shots were fired from a handgun at Caffe Paesano in O’Connell Street on December 18.

Police believe the shooting was prompted by the wounding of another man at Munno Para several days earlier.

The 24-year-old has been charged with acts to endanger life.

He will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
